About the Hub

Dynamic young leaders, committed to Ibadan.

Founded in 2014, the Global Shapers Ibadan Hub is one of hundreds of hubs in the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers Community a network summarized in five words: committed to improving the state of the world.

Our story

Founded 2014, built by volunteers ever since

The Global Shapers Ibadan Hub was founded in 2014 by the late Olufemi Babalogbon. As a hub of the Global Shapers Community an initiative of the World Economic Forum we aspire to bring positive change to the city of Ibadan and its environs by taking up transformational projects and events that benefit the local, national and international community at large.

Every year, a new Curatorship is elected to steward the Hub for a term running July to June, supported by appointed Hub Officers and volunteer Task Teams all guided by our Hub Charter and the wider Global Shapers Community's Official Guides.

Our community

Global Shapers Community Ibadan

We're a family of exceptional young leaders students, entrepreneurs, civil servants and creatives, brought together by one thing: a refusal to wait for someone else to fix what's broken in our city. Every member sits inside a global network of Shapers spanning hubs worldwide, but our work happens right here, on Ibadan's streets, campuses and communities.

From late-night planning sessions to early-morning cleanups, this is a community built on accountability, mutual support, and the belief that young people don't just inherit the future we build it.
